STATEMENT or ACCENT
If you have a dramatic or creative style personality you may well want to go all-out with the animal print trend – try mixing a animal print dress with animal print boots for an all-over look that as been showcased all over Instagram recently.
The more romantic style personalities amongst you will be drawn to prints too, but will need a little sparkle or embellishment to give them a lift. There are also some beautiful textures available in animal print this season – look for sheer blouses and super-soft knitwear.
The city chic dressers will only wish to do a small ‘pop’ of print and the choice is yours in this area – a belt, boot, bag or scarf are all great ways to give a simple look a lift.
If you have a classic or natural style personality are unlikely to be drawn to this particular trend but if you are, take a leaf out of the city chic’s book and try a subtle accent at first (there are some great animal print trainers around for you naturals!) and build from there.
I hope that helps- as always, any questions- just hola!
In other news…I thought you might like to know that I have been asked by Kettlewell to be one of their Ambassadors. There isn’t a prescriptive role for what I have to do; but as they said to me- their ambassadors are people who they feel fly the flag of colour, confidence and championing women to be the best they can be.
A few weeks ago they came to my home to do a photo shoot of me wearing some of my favourite pieces from their collection and to ask me a few questions- here is a link to their website if you want to have a read of the interview. I thought it was fitting for me include one of the pictures taken at the shoot of me wearing one of their Milan Knit Crew Jumpers – with my leopard print coat to show one of my current favourite colour combinations with leopard- teal/spruce green!! I have more ideas of colour combinations with teal on my Instagram stories today- you can see that by clicking here. (For those of you not entirely familiar with Instagram- if you click on the link it takes you to my page. If you then click on the picture of me in a circle- you can watch videos I post daily with tips / ideas / what I’ve been up to. Historic posts I save underneath my profile to be watched whenever. Sorry if this sounds patronising to those who know…but I had to explain this to my mother the other day so was just wanting to make sure you got the full “experience”!!)
Kettlewell have given me a discount code to give to my readers/followers. If you put “KCKATEE” at checkout you receive 15% off + free pp and returns (UK only). It expires 23/12/18
